VDS rubber Tape for skis and snowboard, an essential component in the construction process with a function to:
– to compensate material
expansions/contractions caused by
temperature alteration
– to dampen or absorb vibrations
– to compensate material tolerances
– to avoid disruptions of the surface material
– to reduce acoustic noise in floor and wall
panels
– to fill up leaks in constructions which
improves the power transmission e.g. at
the ski composite to transmit the power over
the edges
– as backing material for the adhesion
– in composites exposed to a high level of
dynamic stress.
VDS rubber foil is used in between the edges and the laminates, and possibly sidewalls and the laminate. Its purpose is to make sure that the layers stay together even when flexing and under tension.
